Penny production for the 2012 year has already ended. I am curious to see if this extension may bring about a possible 2013 Canadian penny.

Canada Extends The Life of the Penny
In March 2012 reports started coming out that the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) intended to stop distributing pennies to financial institutions in September. Please see my previous post:
Canada gets rid of their penny. Now new reports are coming in that the RCM will now continue to distribute pennies until February 4th, 2013. This is a 5 month extension for all you copper hoarders and penny collectors out there to continue doing your thing.
